By downloading, installing, or using Gold Calculator: Smart Gold Negotiation ("Gold Calculator", "the App", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of the App
Gold Calculator is a mobile application that helps you:
- View live gold prices per gram for 24K, 21K, and 18K karats
- View price history charts (7 days, 1 month free; 3 months, 1 year with Pro)
- Calculate fair buy/sell prices based on karat, weight, country, and profit margins
- Compare shop quotes to fair value with negotiation tools
- Track your gold collection with purchase prices and current values
- Calculate Zakat based on the 85g 24K Nisab threshold at 2.5%
- Receive push notifications for price alerts
- Export collection data as PDF/CSV (Pro)
The App is a calculator and informational tool. It does not facilitate the buying or selling of gold.
What the App Does Not Do
Gold Calculator does not:
- Provide financial, investment, or legal advice
- Guarantee the accuracy of gold prices (prices are for informational purposes only)
- Facilitate buying or selling of gold (it is a calculator tool only)
- Store personal information (no name, email, or phone)
- Replace professional financial consultation
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Gold Calculator only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Rely on the App as sole basis for financial decisions
- Use the App to mislead others about gold prices or values
Intellectual Property
Our Rights
Gold Calculator and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Saud Alsaeed and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content
You retain all rights to the data you enter into the App (collection items, calculations, etc.). The App merely provides tools to organize and calculate.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Gold Calculator offers optional subscriptions ("Gold Calculator Pro") to unlock additional features:
- Free tier: Live prices, basic calculator, Zakat, 1-month price history, 3 alerts, 5 collection items
- Pro tier: Up to 1-year price history, 30 alerts, unlimited collection items, full negotiation tools, PDF/CSV export
Subscriptions are available as monthly or yearly plans through Apple's App Store or Google Play. By purchasing, you also agree to the respective store's Terms of Service. Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's refund policies.
Disclaimers
"As Is" Basis
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of gold prices or calculations
Price Accuracy
Gold prices are sourced from third-party APIs and may have delays or inaccuracies. Manufacturing costs and profit margins are estimates. The App should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions.
Not Financial Advice
The App is for informational purposes only. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saud Alsaeed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Financial losses based on information from the App
- Loss of data or collection information
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or any subscriptions.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saud Alsaeed from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
