Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SnapMemories: Backup & Export ("SnapMemories", "the App", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of the App
SnapMemories is an iOS application that helps you:
- Import your Snapchat data export (memories_history.json)
- Download your Snapchat memories to your device before the links expire
- Browse and organize your downloaded memories
- View memories on a map based on location data
- Export memories to your Photos app
The App is a tool to help you access and preserve your own data. It does not provide access to anyone else's Snapchat content.
What the App Does Not Do
SnapMemories does not:
- Access your Snapchat account directly
- Bypass Snapchat's security or access controls
- Download content you don't have legitimate access to
- Store your data on external servers
- Share your data with third parties
Acceptable Use
You agree to use SnapMemories only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the App to access data you don't have rights to
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Use the App in any way that violates Snapchat's Terms of Service
Intellectual Property
Our Rights
SnapMemories and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Saud Alsaeed and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Third-Party Trademarks
SnapMemories is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Snap Inc.
"Snapchat," "Memories," and related marks are trademarks of Snap Inc. These trademarks are used solely to describe the App's functionality and compatibility with Snapchat's data export feature.
Your Content
You retain all rights to your Snapchat memories. The App merely provides tools to download and organize content you already own.
In-App Purchases
SnapMemories offers optional in-app purchases ("SnapMemories Pro") to unlock additional features:
- Free tier: Download up to 500 memories, select up to 5 items at a time
- Pro tier: Unlimited downloads, bulk operations, custom date ranges
All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's Terms of Service. Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policies.
Disclaimers
"As Is" Basis
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the App
Snapchat URL Expiration
Snapchat download URLs expire 3 days after your data export is generated. We cannot guarantee that download links will work if they have expired. This is a limitation of Snapchat's system, not the App.
No Guarantee of Availability
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available or that Snapchat will continue to provide data exports in a compatible format.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saud Alsaeed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or memories
- Loss of use or functionality
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or any in-app purchases.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saud Alsaeed from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
