How do I get my Snapchat data export?
Go to Snapchat Settings → My Data → Submit Request. Snapchat will email you a download link within a few hours. Download the ZIP file and import the memories_history.json file into SnapMemories.
Why do download links expire?
Snapchat generates temporary download URLs that expire after 3 days from when the export was created. If your links have expired, you'll need to request a new data export from Snapchat.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The free version allows you to download up to 500 memories. Pro unlocks unlimited downloads, bulk operations, and custom date range selection.
Where are my downloaded memories stored?
All memories are stored securely in the app's private storage on your device. You can export them to your Photos app at any time.
Does the app upload my data anywhere?
No. SnapMemories processes everything on your device. Your memories are never uploaded to any external servers. We don't collect any personal data.
Why are some memories showing as "overlay"?
Some Snapchat memories include stickers, text, or drawings as overlays. SnapMemories downloads these separately and can composite them together when you export to Photos.
